Pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting, spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup shortening
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.66666668653488 cup pumpkin puree
Instructions:
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine shortening, brown sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, vanilla, pumpkin, and eggs in a large bowl until smooth. Spread mixture evenly in pan and bake for 25 minutes. Once cooled, frost with cream cheese frosting.
