Quick stovetop lasagna with beef, tomatoes, noodles, and cheese for a simple and delicious family meal.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 0.5 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups dried mafalda noodles
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef until crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess grease. Stir in spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer over low heat until hot, approximately 15 minutes.
  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Add mafalda noodles and cook for 8 minutes until al dente. Drain the noodles.
  • Combine the cooked and drained noodles with the sauce, ensuring they are fully coated. Finish with a generous sprinkling of mozzarella cheese.
  • Position an oven rack 6 inches below the broiler and preheat the broiler.
  • Broil until cheese is golden and bubbly, for about 3 to 5 minutes.
