Tender eggnog cookies spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon, best enjoyed warm with eggnog for a festive treat!
Ingredients:
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg, or as needed
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup eggnog
  • 2 egg yolks
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Combine flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl, and set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to whip together sugar and butter until creamy. Stir in eggnog, egg yolks, and vanilla, and mix until smooth.
  • Slowly incorporate the flour mixture at low speed until just mixed in.
  • Place dollops of dough evenly spaced on baking sheets without grease, then delicately dust with nutmeg.
  • Bake until the edges are golden for about 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Allow the dish to cool on the baking sheet for a short time before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
