Impressively easy gourmet Mac n' Cheese for busy days.
Ingredients:
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1 (16 ounce) package small pasta shells
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 3 (11 ounce) cans condensed cream of Cheddar cheese soup
  • 0.66666668653488 cup shredded Havarti cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1.3333333730698 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Add diced onion to a large pot of lightly-salted boiling water. Cook pasta until al dente, then drain. Transfer onion and pasta to a casserole dish, season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Stir in butter and brown sugar until melted. Mix in Cheddar cheese soup, Havarti cheese, Parmesan cheese, and 1/3 cup of Cheddar cheese. Sprinkle remaining Cheddar cheese over the dish.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes, then switch the oven setting to 'Broil' and cook for about 4 minutes until the top is golden brown.
