Indulge in a tropical escape with this flavorful sorbetto. It's a simple treat that tastes remarkably exotic.
Ingredients:
  • 12 ripe figs, trimmed
  • 200g vanilla sugar (see note)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 200ml thickened cream
Instructions:
  • Combine figs, vanilla sugar, and lemon juice in a food processor. Blend until well mixed. Add thickened cream and pulse until smooth.
  • Transfer the mixture into a shallow container and freeze until solid around the edges, about 2 hours. Take it out, beat with electric beaters, then freeze again. Repeat this process 2 or 3 times. Alternatively, use an ice cream machine following the manual. Serve scoops of sorbetto in tall glasses.
