Effortless and versatile patriotic cake that can be frosted and decorated in the pan for easy transportation.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting or 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Vanilla Frosting
  • 1/3 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 pint (2 cups) fresh strawberries, stems removed, strawberries cut in half
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan), then prepare and bake the cake mix as directed on the box in a 13x9-inch pan. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes before gently releasing it from the pan onto a cooling rack. Let it cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • Place the cake on a serving platter and generously frost the top and sides with creamy frosting.
  • Arrange blueberries in the upper left corner of the frosted cake to mimic stars. Create rows of strawberries over the frosted cake to form stripes. Serve promptly and store covered in the refrigerator.
