Enhance steak with red wine and mustard for amazing flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 0.33333334326744 cup dry red wine
  • 0.5 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 (8 ounce) flat iron steaks
  • 0.5 teaspoon olive oil
Instructions:
  • Combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 cloves minced garlic, parsley, thyme, red wine, 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder, salt, and pepper, whisking until well mixed. Transfer the marinade to a resealable plastic bag with the flat iron steaks. Remove excess air, seal tightly, and let marinate for 1 hour at room temperature or 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Start up the outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. Combine 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of mustard powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil in a small bowl, and keep it aside.
  • Take the steaks out of the marinade, ensuring to shake off any extra marinade. Grill them on the preheated grill to your preferred level of doneness, approximately 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Just before serving, give them a brush with the remaining garlic mixture.
