Upgrade your berry crisp with Gold Medal® whole wheat flour for a scrumptious dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 pint (2 cups) fresh blueberries
  • 1 pint (2 cups) fresh raspberries
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • Ice cream or whipped cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium saucepan, crush 2 cups of strawberries; mix in cornstarch and granulated sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it boils. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Gently fold in blueberries, raspberries, and the rest of the strawberries. Transfer the berry mixture into an ungreaased 8-inch square glass baking dish or a 9-inch pie plate.
  • In a small bowl, use a pastry blender or fork to mix the remaining ingredients (except ice cream) until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture over the berries.
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the top is a beautiful golden brown color. Enjoy warm with a scoop of ice cream.
