Fudge Walnut Brownies

Decadent brownies made with rich chocolate, butter, sugar, and plenty of walnuts.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.125 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and generously grease an 8x8-inch square pan.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt by sifting them together in a bowl.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to whip together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Incorporate eggs until a smooth batter forms, then mix in chocolate and vanilla extract. Gently fold in the flour mixture until just combined, then add walnuts. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared square pan.
  • Bake until the top is dry, edges pull away from the pan (40-45 minutes). Cool in the pan for about 30 minutes, then cut into 9 squares.
