Ingredients:
  • 5 overripe Fuyu persimmons, mashed
  • 1 small Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 0.5 lemon, juiced
  • 0.5 teaspoon lemon zest
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, warm mashed persimmons. Stir in apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring to a boil, then simmer on medium-low heat for 10 to 15 minutes until sauce reaches desired consistency and flavors meld.
