Upgrade your chicken tenders by coating them in crispy cornbread breading in the air fryer.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cornbread muffins, crumbled
  • 0.25 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons honey powder (such as Savory Spice®)
  • 1 tablespoon tropical poultry rub (such as Savory Spice® Gold Coast Poultry Rub)
  • 1 pound chicken tenders
Instructions:
  • Combine whipped egg, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl until fully incorporated. In another shallow bowl, mix cornbread crumbs, panko, honey powder, and poultry rub together.
  • Coat each chicken tender in the egg mixture, then shake off any extra liquid before covering it with the cornbread coating.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F (190 degrees C). Air fry chicken tenders for a total of 12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking.
