Fall-off-the-bone tender grilled short ribs, packed with savory flavor thanks to foil packets. Unbeatable beef ribs.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 pounds beef short ribs (bone-in), trimmed of fat
  • Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil
  • 0.5 cup barbecue sauce, plus additional for serving
Instructions:
  • Combine the brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, salt, and garlic powder in a medium bowl.
  • Cut the ribs into equal portions. Massage a generous amount of spice mixture onto all sides of the ribs. Arrange the ribs in a single layer in a glass baking dish. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Preheat the grill to a cozy 375-400 degrees F (190-200 degrees C), making sure the heat is indirect for even cooking.
  • Place one portion of ribs in the center of a 12x18-inch sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Add 2 ice cubes. Fold the foil around the ribs, making sure to seal the packet well while allowing heat to circulate inside. Repeat to create 3 more packets.
  • Lay out the packets over indirect heat on the hot grill. Cover and grill until tender, for around 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Uncover the grill and carefully cut along the top folds of the foil packets with a sharp knife to allow steam to escape. Open the packets fully.
  • Coat ribs with a generous amount of delicious barbecue sauce.
  • Continue grilling the ribs over direct heat with the lid on, turning once, until they are browned and crisp, for about 5 more minutes.
  • Drizzle with extra barbecue sauce to your taste.
