Spice up your burger game with chipotle-infused patties topped with flavorful guacamole.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 can (4 oz) Old El Paso™ Chopped Green Chiles
  • 3 tablespoons chopped canned chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, undrained
  • 8 slices Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, if desired
  • 8 burger buns, split
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 large avocados (about 1 lb), pitted, peeled and cubed
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, if desired
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill. Combine beef, green chiles, and chipotle chiles in a large bowl. Form mixture into 8 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick.
  • Combine the guacamole ingredients in a medium bowl using a pastry blender or fork until well mashed.
  • Grill the patties over medium heat until a meat thermometer reads 160°F, turning once. Top each patty with a slice of cheese and cook until the cheese is melted. Toast the buns on the grill, cut sides down, during the last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking.
  • Alternate tomato slices, burger patties, and guacamole between the buns for a deliciously stacked burger.
