Grill thin slices of Delicata squash for tasty caramelized flavor due to its delicate edible skin.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large delicata squash
  • 0.33333334326744 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.33333334326744 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Heat up your outdoor grill until it reaches medium-high heat, and give the grate a light coating of oil.
  • Prepare the squash by washing, drying, and slicing each in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes with a spoon, then slice into 1/2-inch pieces and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  • In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Drizzle the mixture over the squash pieces and toss until coated evenly.
  • Grill the squash pieces directly on the preheated grill grates for 4 to 5 minutes per side, ensuring to move them away from flare-ups. Remove from heat once grill marks appear and the squash is fork-tender, then transfer to a mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle the squash pieces with maple syrup, toss to coat evenly. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with feta cheese crumbles, if preferred.
