Spicy chili powder and cayenne pepper seasoned chicken drumsticks, served with a side of cool sour cream.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 packages (1 lb each) chicken wing drummettes
  • Sour cream, if desired
  • Paprika, if desired
Instructions:
  • Place all ingredients except chicken, sour cream, and paprika in a 1-gallon resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and shake well to blend the seasonings. Add the chicken, seal the bag, and shake until the chicken is evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (but no longer than 24 hours) to marinate.
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill. Arrange chicken in a grill basket. Grill over medium heat with the lid on for 20-25 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 180°F.
  • Sprinkle paprika over sour cream and serve with chicken.
