Italian-inspired turkey burgers topped with basil-garlic pesto mayo for a crowd-pleasing meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed, or more to taste
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 ciabatta rolls
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.125 cup prepared pesto
  • 0.5 red onion, sliced
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce
Instructions:
  • Mix together turkey, fragrant basil, pungent garlic, sea salt, and aromatic pepper in a bowl. Shape the flavorful mixture into 4 evenly-sized savory hamburger patties.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill to a sizzling medium-high heat and oil the grate for flavor. Grill patties for a perfect 4 minutes on each side. Top with provolone slices and cook until cheese melts deliciously. Toast ciabatta rolls on the grill until beautifully browned in just 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Combine mayonnaise and pesto in a small bowl until well mixed. Spread the mixture onto the rolls, then add the turkey patties, sliced red onion, and lettuce on top.
