Grilled taco burgers cooked in foil with salsa, cheese, and seasoning, perfect without buns or shells!
Ingredients:
  • heavy-duty aluminum foil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 0.5 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
  • 2 baking potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 0.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your grill to medium heat, oil the grate lightly, and prepare four 12x18-inch sheets of aluminum foil.
  • Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, and taco seasoning in a bowl, ensuring they are thoroughly mixed. Form the mixture into four 4-inch patties. In a separate bowl, mix potatoes and salsa together.
  • Place 1 patty on a piece of foil, top with 1/4 of the potato mixture and 1/4 of the Cheddar cheese. Seal each packet securely with double folds, leaving room for heat expansion.
  • Grill the packets seam-side up with the grill covered, turning them occasionally, until the patties are cooked through and the potatoes are tender, about 25 minutes. Make sure the center of the patties reaches a minimum of 160 degrees F (71 degrees C).
