Grilled Cheesy Burgers and Hash Browns in Foil Packets - Easy, Delicious, No Mess
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Progresso™ plain bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons from 1 container (6.25 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cups frozen diced hash-brown potatoes (from 32-oz bag)
  • 1 cup salsa con queso dip (from 15-oz jar)
Instructions:
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, taco seasoning mix, and milk in a medium bowl until fully mixed. Form mixture into 4 (4-inch) patties. In a separate medium bowl, toss frozen potatoes with dip.
  • Cut 4 (18x12-inch) sheets of heavy-duty foil and generously spray them with cooking spray. Place one patty on each sheet and top with 1/4 of the potato mixture. Fold and seal each pack securely with double folds, leaving space for heat expansion.
  • Once the grill is hot, place the packs seam side up over medium heat. Cover the grill and cook for 15 to 25 minutes, making sure to rearrange the packs a few times, until the patties are fully cooked.
  • Place the packs on a cookie sheet in the oven and bake at 375°F for 40 to 45 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the burgers are fully cooked (reaching at least 165°F in the center).
