Grilled teriyaki pork chops marinated in homemade teriyaki sauce, then turned into a delicious glaze.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup coconut aminos (soy-free seasoning sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 4 (1/2 inch thick) bone-in pork loin chops
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • In a 1-gallon resealable bag, mix coconut aminos, orange juice, fish sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ginger, sesame oil, and salt. Gently combine ingredients by squeezing. Add pork chops ensuring they are in a single layer, remove most of the air from the bag, and seal. Refrigerate for approximately 4 hours, turning every hour and ensuring the bag stays flat.
  • Preheat your outdoor gas grill to a perfect 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Take out the pork chops from the marinade and transfer the marinade into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high until it reduces to about 1/2 cup, approximately 3 minutes. Reserve the sauce for later.
  • Prepare the grill grate by coating it with oil and place the chops on it. Grill for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, flip, and grill for another 1 to 1 1/2 minutes until grill marks form. Flip the chops again and repeat. Lower the heat to a minimum, close the lid, and cook until the thickest chop reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), around 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer the chops to a serving platter, cover loosely with foil, and let them rest for 7 to 8 minutes before serving.
  • Heat the reserved sauce in the microwave until warm. Serve the grilled pork chops warm, topped with 2 tablespoons of sauce and garnished with sesame seeds.
