Turkey, ham, cheese, and pickles grilled to perfection in a delicious panini sandwich.
Ingredients:
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 1 (3 pound) Butterball® Boneless Breast of Turkey Roast, thawed
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  • 2 loaves Cuban, French or Italian bread (15 inches long)
  • 0.25 cup honey mustard
  • 0.5 pound smoked ham
  • 0.5 pound sliced Swiss cheese
  • 12 sandwich-style dill pickle slices
Instructions:
  • Coat the chilled grate of an outdoor gas grill with cooking spray and set it up for medium indirect heat.
  • Take the turkey out of the package and pat it dry using paper towels. You can either toss the gravy packet or store it in the fridge for up to 2 - 3 days. Adjust the string netting to make it easier to remove after cooking. Make small slits at least 1 inch apart all over the turkey and place a garlic slice into each slit. Brush the turkey with oil.
  • Mix the cumin, salt, and pepper together, then generously season the turkey with the mixture.
  • Grill the turkey over indirect heat with the lid closed until the meat thermometer reads 170 degrees F when inserted into the center of the roast. Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Discard the string netting from the turkey. Slice half of the turkey into six, 1/8-inch-thick slices and set aside. Refrigerate the remaining unsliced turkey for later use.
  • Slice each bread loaf in half lengthwise. Then, cut each half into 3 pieces to make 6 sandwiches. Spread 2 teaspoons of mustard on the bottom half of each section. Layer on the turkey, ham, cheese, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bread loaf. Press down gently to flatten. Wrap each sandwich tightly in aluminum foil.
  • Grill the wrapped sandwiches with a heavy iron skillet or brick on top for 3 to 5 minutes on each side until heated through.
  • Wrap the warm sandwiches in aluminum foil before serving.
