Vibrant candy-topped cookie pizza bakes in 1 hour for a delightful dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup small gumdrops, cut in half
  • 1/2 cup white baking chips
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine sugars, butter, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl using a spoon. Add flour and baking soda and mix until a stiff dough forms. Transfer the dough to an ungreased 12-inch pizza pan and spread it out evenly in a circle.
  • Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then sprinkle gumdrops over it. Continue baking for about 10 more minutes or until the crust's edge is golden brown. Let it cool in the pan for 30 minutes.
  • Combine baking chips and shortening in a small resealable plastic bag, seal, and microwave on High for 1 minute. Squeeze the bag until the chips are melted and smooth. Cut a tiny corner off the bag and drizzle the melted chips over the cookie. Let it stand for about 30 minutes until set. Serve by cutting into wedges.
