Savory ham and potato quiche with a unique frozen hash brown crust.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup cooked ham, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup chopped onion
  • 0.25 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a piping hot 425°F (220°C).
  • Remove excess moisture from hash brown potatoes by pressing them between paper towels. Press them into the bottom and up the sides of an 8-inch pie dish to form a crust. Drizzle with melted butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden. Then lower the heat to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix together the ham, Cheddar cheese, onion, and bell pepper in a bowl, then spread over the hash brown crust. In the same bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper, and pour over the ham mixture.
  • Bake until eggs are perfectly cooked, for 25-30 minutes in the oven.
