Elevate ham steak with zesty baked beans for a quick, flavorful family meal in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 center-cut ham steak (about 1 lb)
  • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 1 can (16 oz) baked beans
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions:
  • In a 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Sear ham steak for 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and heated through. Transfer steak to a deep serving platter and cover to keep warm.
  • Cook the bell pepper and onion in the same skillet over medium heat for 2 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are crisp-tender. Add the beans and barbecue sauce, heat until bubbly, and pour the mixture over the ham.
