Indulge in heavenly Hawaiian roll bread pudding with a tangy twist from spiced buttermilk.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup buttermilk
  • 0.25 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian bread rolls (such as King's®)
  • 0.25 cup raisins
  • 0.5 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
  • Combine milk, sugar, buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl until thoroughly mixed.
  • Tear each roll into six pieces and place them in the mixing bowl. Mix in the raisins until bread is moistened. Pinch bits of cream cheese over the mixture and gently fold in. Pour into the baking dish.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, approximately 45 minutes. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
