Easy, indulgent cinnamon rolls made with Hawaiian sweet rolls, topped with creamy cream cheese frosting - no yeast needed!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 (4 roll) package Hawaiian bread rolls (such as King's®), unseparated
  • 4 tablespoons butter, at room temperature, divided
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously spray a 4-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • Mix together 1/4 cup of sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • 1. Cut the 4 rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms together. Arrange them on a piece of parchment paper, cut-sides facing up. 2. Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on the bottom halves of the rolls and sprinkle each with 1/4 of the cinnamon-sugar. 3. Repeat the butter and cinnamon-sugar sprinkle on the top halves of the rolls. 4. Create sandwiches by placing the top halves of the rolls onto the bottom halves, with the cinnamon-sugar filling inside.
  • Gently roll out the rolls using a rolling pin. Spread 1 tablespoon of butter and sprinkle most of the cinnamon-sugar on top. Roll the bread tightly into a jelly roll starting from the longest end closest to you, using the parchment paper. Cut into 4 equal slices and place in muffin cups. Finish by topping with the remaining butter and cinnamon-sugar.
  • Bake until golden brown and bubbling in the preheated oven for around 20 minutes.
  • In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, blend cream cheese and butter until creamy. Add vanilla and salt, then gradually mix in sugar until smooth. Frost the cinnamon rolls once baked.
