Total Time:
Decadent chocolate cake loaded with marshmallows and pecans for a deliciously nutty twist.
Ingredients:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1.5 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (16 ounce) package miniature marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 0.5 cup evaporated milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) while you prepare your 8x12 inch pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • In a large bowl, beat together 1 cup of butter and sugar until creamy. Then, add eggs one at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition. Finally, mix in the vanilla until fully incorporated.
  • Combine flour and cocoa in a separate bowl, then add this mixture to the eggs and mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture into a prepared 8x12 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 minutes. Top the hot cake with marshmallows.
  • Create the topping by mixing 4 tablespoons of melted butter, confectioners' sugar, 4 tablespoons of cocoa, and evaporated milk in a small bowl. Spread the mixture evenly over the cake's top.
