Quick and easy meatballs - perfect for guests, kids, or a tasty snack.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 0.5 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce, divided
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced, divided
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 0.5 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen fried rice (such as Kahiki® Japanese-Style Fried Rice)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and generously grease a baking sheet.
  • Mix together the beef, bread crumbs, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, egg, 2 cloves of minced garlic, and ginger until fully combined. Shape the mixture into golf-ball-sized meatballs and arrange them on the lined baking sheet.
  • Cook the meatballs in the preheated oven until fully cooked through, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the leftover soy sauce, remaining garlic, hoisin sauce, green onion, vinegar, and sesame oil. Whisk until the sauce is well blended.
  • Place the frozen fried rice bag on a plate and microwave until thoroughly heated, for 6 to 8 minutes. Remove the film, give it a good stir, cover it again, and microwave for an additional 1 minute. Enjoy your delicious fried rice!
  • Place the cooked meatballs in a serving bowl and generously coat them with the savory sauce. Serve the flavorful meatballs on a bed of fragrant fried rice.
