Delicious Autumn dessert featuring almond and coconut flavors with any type of apple, best served with warm custard.
Ingredients:
  • 6 large apples - peeled, cored, and cubed
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup rice flour
  • 3 tablespoons almond meal
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flaked coconut
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C), then place the apple pieces in a baking dish and toss with sugar and cinnamon until well coated.
  • Combine rice flour, almond meal, sugar, and coconut in a bowl. Add butter and mix until fine crumbles form. Sprinkle over apples.
  • Bake covered in a preheated oven for 1 hour until the apples soften. Uncover and bake until the crumble topping is crispy and golden brown.
