Whip up these soft and sweet pineapple buns in a snap, reminiscent of irresistible King's Hawaiian® rolls.
Ingredients:
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups pineapple juice, at room temperature
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted, divided
  • 6.5 cups all-purpose flour, divided, or more as needed
  • 2 (.25 ounce) packages instant yeast
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, vigorously beat eggs then combine with pineapple juice, sugar, 1/2 cup of butter, and vanilla extract.
  • In a large bowl, combine 3 cups of flour with the egg mixture using a wooden spoon until fully incorporated. Gradually add the yeast packages, stirring well. Mix in 3 more cups of flour until fully combined, using your hands if necessary. Ensure the dough is slightly tacky but not too sticky. If needed, add extra flour 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough reaches the right consistency.
  • Place the dough in a cozy spot and cover it with a fresh towel, letting it rise for 1 hour.
  • Take the dough out of the bowl and knead in the remaining 1/2 cup of flour about 10 to 15 times until well mixed. Shape the dough into rolls and arrange them on buttered pans. Cover and let them rise in a warm place until doubled in size, approximately 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfectly baked dish.
  • Bake until the tops turn golden brown, about 25-30 minutes. Brush with the remaining 1/4 cup of melted butter.
