Herb and spice-filled paleo breakfast sausage made with any ground meat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh sage leaves
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Combine ground pork with a blend of aromatic herbs and spices until well mixed, then shape into 8 patties.
  • Cook the patties in a large skillet over medium heat in batches until nicely browned, about 8 to 10 minutes per side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure they reach at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) in the center.
