Honey-sweetened oatmeal cookies for an extra flavorful twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 0.75 cup shortening
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the shortening, honey, egg, water, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the remaining ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • Spoon rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes.
