Traditional Irish soda bread cooked on a hot griddle for a quick and easy meal.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Heat a sturdy flat griddle or skillet on medium-low heat.
  • Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. Create a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk.
  • Efficiently incorporate into a wet dough; gently knead on a generously floured surface. Shape into a flattened circle, around 1/2 inch thick, and cut into quarters using a floured knife. Expect the dough to be sticky.
  • Liberally dust the base of the hot pan with flour, then cook the farls for 6 to 8 minutes on each side until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
