Lamb Patties with Minted Kiwifruit Sauce

Elevate ground lamb with bold spices, broil to perfection, and drizzle with refreshing mint sauce for a quick and classy dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 lb lean ground lamb
  • 1 1/3 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 2/3 cup dry red wine or vegetable broth
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crumbled
  • 4 small cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 medium kiwifruit, peeled, mashed (1/2 cup)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat the broiler. Grease the broiler pan rack. Combine all patty ingredients in a large bowl until fully mixed. Form 8 patties, each about 1 inch thick, and place them on the prepared rack in the broiler pan.
  • Broil the tops 3 inches from the heat for 10 to 14 minutes, turning once, until cooked to medium doneness.
  • Combine all sauce ingredients in a medium bowl and serve with lamb patties.
