Try this easy and flavorful Polish Golumpki Soup, a deconstructed version of stuffed cabbage with beef and cabbage simmered in a savory broth. Enjoy all the flavors of traditional golumpkis with minimal effort!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large sweet onion, diced
  • 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 head cabbage, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomato puree
  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
  • 1 cup long-grain brown rice
  • 2 cubes beef bouillon
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté onion until translucent, about 5-10 minutes. Then, add ground beef and cook until browned and crumbly, 5-10 minutes.
  • Combine the beef mixture with water, cabbage, tomato purée, condensed soup, rice, bouillon, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on High for 8 hours.
