Creamy Chardonnay leeks showcase the star power of this elegant side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 4 small leeks
  • 0.5 cup Chardonnay wine
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons creme fraiche
Instructions:
  • Prepare the leeks by trimming off the dark green parts and any damaged leaves. Slice the leeks in half lengthwise, then diagonally into 1/2-inch strips. Place the slices in a colander, rinse thoroughly to remove any dirt, and allow them to drain.
  • In a pot over medium-high heat, sauté leeks with Chardonnay and sugar until leeks are soft and tender and the wine has evaporated, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and fold in creme fraiche. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
