Spicy lemon sauce perks up fish, chicken, and veggies with paprika, mustard, cumin, and cayenne for a zesty flavor boost.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground mustard powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 0.25 cup cold water
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan, heat lemon juice over medium-high heat. Stir in sugar, paprika, mustard powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Cook and stir until mixture is bubbly and translucent, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, blend cold water and cornstarch until smooth. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and heat until thickened. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick.
