Delicious and healthy apple bran muffins sweetened with brown sugar - perfect for a satisfying snack.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups wheat bran
  • 1 cup low-fat buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 egg whites
  • 0.5 apple, grated
Instructions:
  • Mix the bran and buttermilk in a small bowl and let it soak for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then prepare your muffin pan by giving it a light greasing or using paper liners.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar, and baking soda in a large bowl. Add bran mixture and egg whites, then gently fold in grated apple. Distribute batter evenly into 12 muffin cups.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 16 to 18 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before removing.
