Enhance Anzac slice with decadent chocolate drizzle for irresistible treat.
Ingredients:
  • 135g rolled oats
  • 185g plain flour
  • 220g brown sugar
  • 75g shredded coconut
  • 70g macadamia
  • 150g butter
  • 53.60 gm golden syrup
  • 1.25 gm bicarbonate of soda
  • 40.00 gm boiling water
  • 100g Milk Choc Melts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C. Grease and line the base and two long sides of a 20 x 30cm slice pan with baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the oats, flour, sugar, coconut, and macadamia nuts.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, gently melt the butter with golden syrup until smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Mix bicarbonate of soda with water in a bowl, then stir it into the butter mixture. Combine with the flour mixture.
  • Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan, using the back of a spoon to create a smooth surface. Bake in a preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Allow it to cool completely in the pan before serving.
  • Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, stirring with a metal spoon until smooth. Transfer melted chocolate into a small plastic bag, snip a corner, and drizzle it evenly over the slice. Cut into squares before serving.
