Indulge in a decadent breakfast sandwich featuring layers of French toast, crispy bacon, and fluffy scrambled eggs drizzled with maple syrup.
Ingredients:
  • 8 slices maple-cured bacon
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 slices bread
  • 5 tablespoons oil, or as needed
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil before laying the bacon strips in a single layer on top.
  • Place the bacon slices in the preheated oven and bake until golden brown and crispy, for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then, transfer the cooked bacon slices to paper towels to drain.
  • In a spacious shallow bowl, whisk together 3 eggs, some brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Dip each bread slice into the mixture, ensuring it is fully soaked.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown bread slices in batches in hot oil until golden on each side, about 5 minutes per batch. Transfer the toast to a plate.
  • Whisk the remaining eggs in a bowl. Scramble and cook them in the same skillet over medium heat until set, for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Start by layering a slice of toast on a plate, then add half of the bacon, half of the scrambled eggs, and another slice of toast. Repeat the layers with the remaining toast, bacon, and eggs. Finish each sandwich by drizzling with maple syrup.
