Indulgent baked brie with maple pecans, perfect for holiday gatherings. Enjoy warm with crackers.
Ingredients:
  • 8 oz wheel Brie cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed Aleppo chiles
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and give it a light coating of nonstick spray.
  • Place the cheese wheel on a sturdy surface. Use a serrated knife to gently remove the top rind. Transfer the cheese to the baking sheet and create a tall collar by folding a strip of foil slightly taller than the Brie around the wheel.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then cool for 10 minutes before transferring the Brie to a platter.
  • In a small pan over medium heat, melt butter and combine with brown sugar, maple syrup, whipping cream, and bourbon. Bring to a full boil, then simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Take off the heat, and fold in chopped pecans and crushed chilies. Drizzle over Brie and accompany with crackers.
