Maple Pecan Bread

Bake up a quick and delicious maple-infused bread in no time!
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon maple flavor
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, if desired
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons half-and-half or milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and generously grease the bottom of an 8- or 9-inch loaf pan.
  • Combine all the Maple Pecan Bread ingredients, excluding the pecans, in a large bowl and mix with a spoon for 30 seconds. Gently fold in 1/2 cup of pecans and transfer the mixture into the pan.
  • Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then carefully remove the loaf from the pan to a wire rack. Allow it to cool completely for about 2 hours.
  • Combine all Maple Glaze ingredients, excluding pecans, in a small bowl until the mixture is smooth and easily drizzle-able.
  • Drizzle the cooled bread with a luscious Maple Glaze, then generously sprinkle 2 tablespoons of pecans. Keep it tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 4 days or in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
