"Indulge in these decadent maple pecan cookies, a delicious taste of fall. Packed with double the maple flavor, these cookies are a must-have for the season. Get ready to bake up a storm and savor the perfect autumn treat!"
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon maple flavor
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon maple flavor
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake pecans in an 8-inch square pan for 6 to 8 minutes until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Transfer nuts to a cutting board and cool for 5 minutes before finely chopping them.
  • In a spacious mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to whip up butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, making sure to scrape the sides occasionally. Blend in 1/2 teaspoon of maple flavor and the egg until fully incorporated. Fold in flour and chopped toasted pecans.
  • Form the dough into 1-inch balls and space them 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten each ball in a crisscross pattern using a fork dipped in granulated sugar.
  • Bake for 11 to 14 minutes or until edges are just golden brown. Let cool for 1 minute, then transfer from baking sheets to cooling racks. Allow to cool completely, approximately 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together icing ingredients until velvety; generously drizzle over cookies.
