Marinated Tuna Steaks with Cucumber Sauce

Indulge in succulent broiled tuna steaks with refreshing cucumber sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb tuna steaks
  • 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
  • 1/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-fat mayonnaise or salad dressing
Instructions:
  • Combine lime juice, 2 tablespoons of fresh cilantro, minced garlic, and salt in a shallow glass dish. Cut the fish steaks into 4 pieces and add them to the lime mixture, ensuring they are well coated by turning them several times. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, remembering to flip the fish once during marination.
  • Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and chill in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat broiler. Grease broiler pan rack. Take fish out of marinade and dispose of marinade. Arrange fish on rack in broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat for 7 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway, until fish is easily flaked with a fork. Serve with sauce.
