Adorable Gingerbread Men Cookies topped with raisins, currants, or cinnamon candies for a charming finish.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons McCormick® Ground Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Nutmeg
  • 0.75 cup butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. In another large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Mix in molasses, egg, and vanilla until well combined. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture on low speed until fully mixed. Shape the dough into a thick flat disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness. Use a 5-inch cookie cutter to create gingerbread men shapes and place them 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are set and lightly browned. Let them cool on the baking sheets for 1 to 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Decorate the cookies as you like and store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
