Effortless BBQ chicken wings cooked in the microwave - no mess, no oven, no grill needed!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pound chicken wing flats (wingettes)
Instructions:
  • Prepare the BBQ sauce by combining ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, brown mustard, garlic powder, cumin, and salt in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave covered with a wet paper towel until thickened, approximately 7 to 8 minutes, stirring halfway through. Set aside for later use, and keep the paper towel for the wings.
  • Microwave the chicken wings in a medium microwave-safe bowl with a paper towel until almost cooked through, about 6 minutes. Drain in a colander, pat dry with paper towels, and return to the bowl.
  • Drizzle wings with 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, ensuring they are well-coated. Microwave on high, uncovered, until wings are glazed, about 4 minutes, stirring halfway through. Adjust cooking time in 1-minute intervals based on your microwave's wattage. Confirm doneness by checking with an instant-read thermometer for a minimum internal temperature of 165°F. Serve with the remaining 1/4 cup BBQ sauce for dipping. Show your love by rating the recipe below!
