Quick and decadent dessert for 2 made with white cake mix, strawberry gelatin, and fresh strawberry cream syrup. Ready in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons from 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon Jell-O™ strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup whipped topping
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate-flavored syrup
  • 2 fresh strawberries
  • 4 chocolate sticks
Instructions:
  • Use a paper towel to gently grease 2 mugs (14 to 16 oz each) with vegetable oil.
  • Place cake mix in a medium bowl and whisk in egg, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1 tablespoon of oil until smooth. In a small cup, dissolve 1 tablespoon of gelatin in hot water, then stir it into the cake batter. Divide the batter evenly between mugs, filling each with about 1/2 cup of batter.
  • Microwave mugs on High for 30 seconds, then let stand for 5 seconds. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds on High, then let stand for 5 seconds. Cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Pierce multiple holes in each mug cake using a bamboo skewer or a sharp knife.
  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, whisk together both milks until well combined. Heat in the microwave on High for 30 seconds or until hot. Stir in 1 tablespoon of gelatin. Drizzle half of the cream syrup over each cake. Allow the cake to sit for 2 minutes or until the syrup is absorbed.
  • Place a generous dollop of whipped topping on each cake, followed by a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Finish by garnishing each cake with a fresh strawberry and two chocolate sticks. Serve right away and store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
