Traditional mincemeat pie with a flavorful blend of apples, raisins, spices, and finely chopped beef for a rich and savory filling.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups chopped apples
  • 1.5 cups diced cooked beef
  • 1.5 cups raisins
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 large orange - peeled, sectioned, and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.5 cup sorghum
  • 0.25 cup sweet pickle juice
  • 0.25 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions:
  • Combine apples, diced beef, raisins, sugar, beef broth, orange sections, sorghum, pickle juice, pineapple juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt in a large bowl and mix until evenly incorporated.
  • Chill the filling in the refrigerator or freeze until needed.
