Delicious bacon-wrapped mock steaks for a flavorful meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.75 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions:
  • Get your oven's broiler ready.
  • Combine ground beef and bread crumbs in a bowl. Mix in eggs, onion, salt, and pepper until well combined. Shape mixture into 6 thick patties. Wrap each patty with bacon around the edges, securing with a toothpick or string.
  • Position the patties on a rack in a broiler pan or casserole dish and broil 5 inches from the heat source for 10 minutes. Then, remove from the oven and flip the patties over.
  • Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard in a small bowl. Drizzle over patties, then broil for an additional 5 minutes until meat is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
