Elevate turkey burgers with caramelized onions, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce for juicy, flavorful results.
Ingredients:
  • 3.5 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2.3333332538605 cups finely chopped onions
  • 1 slice whole wheat bread, chopped into crumbs
  • 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1.75 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3.5 pounds lean ground turkey
  • nonstick cooking spray
Instructions:
  • In a small skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions until tender and lightly browned, for about 15 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl.
  • Combine bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, poultry seasoning, ground mustard, pepper, and salt with onions in a bowl; mix thoroughly. Blend in ground turkey, breaking it into smaller pieces; incorporate until evenly mixed. Shape the turkey mixture into 12 patties; cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 20 minutes.
  • Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray, then heat over medium heat.
  • Sear the patties in a hot skillet until fully cooked and juicy, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure they reach 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) in the center.
