Turkey Burgers with Rice Krispies

Light and moist grilled turkey burgers binded with Rice Krispies for a delicious twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup crispy rice cereal, such as Rice Krispies®
  • 1/4 cup shredded zucchini
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced red onion
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried tarragon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
Instructions:
  • Mix together the turkey, Rice Krispies, zucchini, onion, Dijon mustard, tarragon, garlic salt, and black pepper in a bowl until just combined, using either a fork or your hands.
  • Divide the meat into 4 equal portions, form them into patties, then chill in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill to medium high heat and lightly oil the grate. Grill the burgers directly until fully cooked, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
  • Assemble the turkey burgers on the buns, top with desired toppings, and enjoy.
